I have seen ads for OEM Windowx 7 Home Premium software which cost less than the standard Windows 7 Home Premum Upgrade version. I know OEM Windows 7 Home Premium version is only for computer builders and is cheaper than buying the upgrade vecheap oem windows 7 softwarersion.
My question is can I still purchase the OEM version and install it on and do a upgrade on my computer which has Windows XP version. Would this work at all or would I have to do format my hard drive and install the OEM version frocheap oem windows 7 softwarem scratch on my computer.
OEM are for fresh install only, you wont be able to upgrade, thats for Retail/Upgrade only
I have the standard one, so not sure, but pretty sure it will let you upgrade.
Just plug in the CD while windows is running
